Valentine Day Horror Stories

Come Valentine's Day and all the guys I know start telling horror stories about how they spent so much on a girl friend and had the worst experience.

I keep listening to the tales and realize that most of these guys just feel spending lots of money is the key to making a woman happy. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

So here's the real deal guys, pay attention to what I say and you can have a great Valentine's Day on a budget. And no she will not be mad at you for spending so little.

Tips and Tricks for Romance on a Budget

Valentine's Day is not about the expensive gifts you give her, but about showing her how much she means to you.

So for starters try and spend the full day with her. If you can't because of work or school or whatever reason, make sure that the time you spend together is made special for her.

If you are planning on a meal together, you don't have to go to a restaurant. Rustle up something at home. Decorate the room with a huge Valentine's Day banner. And get a lot of pink stuff to complement the feel of the room.

Try write a poem for her. If you are not too poetic pick up a ready one from the internet and read it out for her. Of course pick something that she will like and not be too mushy.

Pick up a charm bracelet for her or a little heart pendant. The piece of jewelry should be something that she can wear and keep with her long after the day is over.

Make sure you make her wear it the first time. The whole process needs to go smoothly so practice the catch before hand. Don't curse at that moment. And all the better if it is handmade.

If you have a budget that you have set aside for a gift, try and make it a hamper. Again it does not have to be expensive. Girls love to open a lot of small gifts rather than just one gift. Its just a girlie thing.

Your girl, if she is really in love with you, is not looking for money. She is looking for the statement "I love you" to be highlighted in all your actions. Just be romantic and make her feel special. That is all that she really wants.

buying chocolates is enough for me

The reason I did not include chocolates and flowers is that they are so common. Plus some ladies may be watching their diet.
