Skin Care the Herbal Way
It does not matter where on Earth you stay, as long as you are a woman I am sure you have looked into the mirror and wondered what you could do to improve the healthy of your skin. Here are a few herbal remedies that you can use to make that skin healthy and glowing.
Feet
The feet are the most neglected part of our body. We are on them the whole day but rarely give them any treats. So here's how you can pamper your feet the herbal way.
Use a mixture of sugar granules, glycerin and rose water to scrub your feet for five minutes. This will help to exfoliate the dead skin and the massage will relieve the feet muscles.
Leave the herbal pack on the feet for ten minutes after the massage is over and wash with warm water. Moisturize using your regular foot care cream.
Hands
The hands are the first part of the skin to show signs of aging. That is why you need to take great care of them and keep them hydrated.
Use a mixture of one teaspoon honey, half teaspoon dried and ground orange peel, one teaspoon lemon juice and one teaspoon milk cream to exfoliate and hydrate the hands. Rub it well into the skin and around the nails and knuckles.
Again leave it on the skin for about ten minutes and then wash off. You will feel the hands go softer than before. The pack will also lighten the dark spots on the hand thanks to the bleaching effect of the lemon.
Face
The skin on the face is far more sensitive than the skin on your hands and feet. You need to know which of the three categories your skin falls into before you can use a herbal pack on it.
Dry skin
The dry facial skin type is the most likely to get wrinkles. So you need to take adequate care of it. The best way to keep it moisturized is by using a face pack made of one teaspoon honey and a single beaten egg yolk. Keep the pack on for as long as you can bear the tightening effect on the skin, then wash off with warm water. Use a mild moisturizer after you wash your face.
Oily Skin
Use a mixture of one teaspoon gram flour (besan) with a teaspoon of lemon juice and a pinch of turmeric on your face. Keep the pack on till it dries and then wash it off with warm water. Use an oil free moisturizer after you wash off the mixture.
Combination Skin
With elements of dry and oily skin this skin type is most prone to acne and black head troubles. A simple weekly face pack that can do a world of good for such skin is made of one teaspoon powdered neem leaves, half spoon multani mitti, and mixed with rose water. Wash off after it dries.
