Food to Avoid, Food to restrict and Food to eat for Diabetes
68Food to Eat and Avoid!
If you have recently been diagnosed with type two diabetes your doctor would have told you to change your eating habits to help control the blood glucose levels in your body. This means that you have been probably told to lay off the junk food and eat healthy.
However even in fruits and vegetables there can be some restrictions. So this hub here is going to give you a list of things that you can eat to your fill in an unrestricted manner. There is also a list of food that you can eat but must restrict and another list of food to avoid altogether.
This table is a ready reckoner for those hoping to cook home made meals to suit the needs of a diabetic patient. In fact the whole family can keep the diabetic company and gain some healthy nutrition as a result.

I have personally used this table of food to cook for my husband when he was diagnosed as a pre-diabetic. I printed out this list and stuck it on the fridge so that if we ever had a doubt as to if he could eat something or not we had an easy reference at hand.

Wonderful hub cashmere. I have bookmarked it for future reference. Keep en lighting us and keep up the good work.
Thanks for sharing ....my mother was a diabetic so knew most of the list but that too of putting it on the fridge is great ....nice hub
Great hub Cashmere! But wait.. Avoid watermelon seeds? What? Grrr... Is all duck to be avoided or just the ones 'Bombayed'? Great list, I should pay attention to it anyway - just because it makes sense. (I don't mind avoiding yams so I'm golden there!)

Thank you for this useful Hub Cashmere. The bad news is that all the stuff I love is on the list of Don'ts.
I believe that if one exercises enough, one can take small liberties on the side. What sayeth thou?
