20 Do Follow Social Bookmarking Sites

I love Facebook and enjoy being able to share what I write on Hub Pages with my friends on Facebook. It allows me to build a "backlink" to my hub. A backlink is nothing but a link on another website which redirects traffic from that website back to mine.

Think of the individual paper clip which folds an important document together. In the same way the more the number of paper clips on the document the more substantial it seems. So it is with backlinks and websites. The more backlinks a website has the more substantial it seems to the search engines.

However here's the spoiler - Not all links coming back to your blog give it equal weight. A no follow backlink may send you traffic but it is not going to affect your Search Engine Optimization or SEO goal. For that you need Do Follow links.

Simply put a do follow link is what a no follow link is not. If a no follow link does not help your SEO efforts a do follow link does help them. So if you are looking forward to making a website or a particular hub here on hub pages to be well optimized for the search engines, a couple of do follow backlinks are a good way to start off.

So where do I find these do follow links?

There are blogs which are do follow and if they happen to be about your niche you can leave a comment with a backlink to your hub page or website.

Then there are article directories which allow you to get one do follow link with every article submission that you have given.

Blog carnivals and niche blog directories can also be checked out for these precious do follow links. Although getting a list is difficult as websites constantly change policies.

And then there is the great source of backlinks, the social media networks. You can get some good traffic from social networking sites and if they give you the added advantage of do follow links wont you like to have them?
